Mr Herman Ho (BSc Psy, ATCL) is a Senior Piano Teacher based in Tampines, Singapore, with close to a decade of teaching experience and a strong commitment to musical excellence and thoughtful pedagogy.
He began studying the piano at the age of 17 and progressed rapidly, attaining ABRSM Grade 8 within a year at age 18. He later pursued formal performance training and was awarded the Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) Diploma in Piano Performance, achieving Distinction. He also holds ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory (Distinction)and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which informs his thoughtful and structured teaching approach.
Over nearly ten years of teaching in a local Singapore school, Mr Herman has guided numerous students through the ABRSM examination system, with many progressing to Grade 8 certification. Among his notable achievements, the youngest student to complete Grade 8 under his guidance was only 10 years old.
His students have also received recognition in international competitions, including a 1st Prize Gold Medal in the International Youth Piano Competition (2025).
As a performer, Mr Herman has appeared at Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore (2024), reflecting his continued dedication to both performance and teaching.
In 2026, he established his private studio in Tampines, where he focuses on developing well-rounded pianists through a balanced approach that emphasizes technical mastery, musical understanding, and disciplined practice.
Beyond teaching, he actively shares educational content through his YouTube channel, supporting young musicians and amateur pianists in their piano learning journey.
