2 Of My Students Got Selected for G3 Music Interview

In addition to regular piano classes, 2 of my students went on to prepare for the selection process of G3 Music Elective in their respective secondary school.

And I am pleased to announce that both of them got selected by their school to proceed on to take on G3 Music in their upcoming school years.

The selection process includes a listening test and a 5min performance audition of 2 pieces via recording.

the listening test is liken to an aural test via a PC and students get to answer the questions in an MCQ format.

A variety of questions were tested but in my opinion it is slightly similar to that of a grade 6 aural with some added components that include asian and pop music.

as for the performance component,

Student 1 played Bach’s Prelude in C minor Book 1 and one of her grade 6 ABRSM exam piece.

Student 2 played 2 of his Grade 8 ABRSM exam pieces.
